Outpatient Program

Counselling and Life Coaching

Counselling is offered by highly qualified counsellors who have the added bonus of personal experience in the area that they counsel.

The Clinic’s counselling service specialises in the effective change for addictive and compulsive behaviour. The founder Richard Smith has created an environment where clients can develop and learn skills with the purpose of effecting change for personal growth. The key to the RHC is treating the whole person and not just the symptoms, using a combination of mind, body and spirit therapy. Utilising technologies from NLP, Gestalt, cognitive and behavioural therapy with a basic philosophy of Self-Help and Mentoring.

The RHC has a basic philosophy of Self-Help and provides a mentoring program for the individuals and families that attend the clinic.

Educational and Therapuetic Groups

In addition to the Counselling provided in the Outpatient Program, The Raymond Hader Clinic also offers Group Therapy. These group therapy sessions are facilitated by qualified specialist pracitioners. These groups are a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T.), skill development groups and educational groups. Some of the regular topics covered in these sessions are: Relapse prevention, anger management, relationships, self esteem building and the pharmacological (physical) causes and effects of addiction. This is just a small sample of the wide variety of group topics run.

Client Monitoring and Management

The Raymond Hader Clinic conducts supervised urine drug screens and alcohol breath test. We also support clients in managing their finances. This could included budgeting and/or daily cash disbursement. These results of these services can be made available to appropriate authorities when authorised by the client. For example, in order the fulfil a court order a client may need to provide these result to the court. This can be important in custody issues.
