The People Behind The Clinic

 

Dr Raymond Hader (1963 - 1998)

Dr Raymond Hader was a talented and gifted medical practitioner who sadly died whilst involved in the development of this program.

Dr. Hader undertook a successful career in medicine, having graduated with honours from Monash University. He had a particular interest in anaesthetics and held the career objective of being part of an intensive care team in major public teaching hospital. As well as an exemplary record of professional achievement he was a keen sports-man, having represented Victoria in Volleyball. A charismatic and brilliant man, he will beremembered with love for his care and commitment to his patients and friends.

Dr. Hader’s specialist knowledge and experience gave him a full understanding of the complexities of drug use and the nature of addiction. At the time of his passing he was wrestling these issues, both professionally and personally.

It is in memory of the spirit of excellence and humanitarianism of Dr. Hader that this clinic offers its specialist treatment program and services.

Richard is the founder of the Raymond Hader Clinic and specialises in addictive behaviour and affective change.

He also has 19 years experience in counselling alcohol & drug related problems especially in illicit drug use, working with families and significant others of drug users and drinkers.

Richard brings with him 17 years of personal drug use experience which has proved to be invaluable in working with drug dependent clients.

The Doctors

All the doctors in our program are well established general practitioners with many years of medical practice experience and have satisfied the training requirements of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for vocational registration.
