How do I help a client get into rehab?

You can help a client enter rehab by arranging a confidential assessment. With the client’s consent, the assessment reviews substance use, health risks, and withdrawal needs. We then confirm program availability, plan detox if required, and coordinate admission into an appropriate rehabilitation program.

Which clients are suitable for residential rehabilitation?

Residential rehabilitation is suitable for adults with moderate to severe alcohol or other drug dependence, particularly where there are safety risks, repeated relapse, or limited community supports. Suitability is confirmed through a clinical assessment.

What information is needed to get a client into rehab?

Basic health history, substance use details, risk factors, and consent are required. This helps the treatment service plan a safe detox and residential care.

Can I refer a client who requires detoxification first?

Yes. Where clinically indicated, withdrawal and detoxification can be coordinated prior to or alongside rehabilitation. This is assessed as part of the referral process to ensure safe and appropriate care planning.

Are referrers involved during treatment?

With client consent, referrers may receive updates on admission, treatment progress, and discharge planning to support continuity of care and recovery goals.

What happens after a client completes rehab?
