60-90 Day Rehabilitation Program
Once you’ve completed Stage 1 of your drug or alcohol rehabilitation at The Hader Clinic, it’s time to get normality back into your life with Stage 2, which can take anywhere from 60 to 90 days to complete. Only patients who are completely weaned off detox medication are permitted to take part in this stage. While Stage 2 takes place in a different location to Stage 1, it provides a similarly comfortable surrounding for people to enter the next phase of their recovery.
What Are the Aims of This Program?
While the aim of Stage 1 is primarily to ensure that our patients are no longer reliant on drugs or alcohol, Stage 2 focuses on more long-term goals. It aims to teach you how to slowly adapt to ‘normal’ life again, encouraging you to become capable, confident and ready to enter the real world. After 60 to 90 days, you’ll have a better understanding of what it takes to live a healthy and drug-free life, so that you can start to develop a sense of responsibility and independence as you get back to normality.
What to Expect:
Stage 2 gives our patients much more free reign, and they can choose what activities and therapies they’d like to partake in. We still offer most of the same sessions to those in Stage 1, so patients have continuity in the program. Patients can partake in:
- Daily check-in groups
- Psychosocial educational groups
- Weekly individual counselling sessions
- Daily peer support groups
- Recreational activities and sports
By joining in sport and recreational activities, you’ll be able to gain a routine that you can bring back into your normal life. The counselling offered will also provide you with sustained support and accountability that can be continued once you leave.
As part of this program, you may choose to stay in our transitional housing, which takes place at a third location. Transitional housing offers you a practical stepping stone into the real world, where you’ll be living in an entirely substance-free environment. This process has been statistically proven to increase your success at long-term recovery and reduces the chance of relapse. It’s a big step towards taking responsibility for your own life.
A Holistic Approach
We believe that addiction affects all areas of your life and that is why we offer a range of holistic therapies. Certain treatments may incur additional costs, but the treatments available include:
- Art therapy
- Personal training and fitness
- Recreational activities
Dual Diagnosis and Residential Rehabilitation
We understand that many people who suffer from addiction will suffer from mental health issues which, unlike physical illnesses, often go untreated or misdiagnosed. We have a very experienced resident psychologist and work with allied consultant psychiatrists, who can provide dual diagnoses and have helped people find freedom as they overcome their mental health struggles. Here is more information about our Dual Diagnosis Program.
At the end of this treatment, we wish to see all our patients ready to lead a normal and healthy life, free from addiction. We’ve seen tremendous progress from around 75% of people who have attended this second phase, and it’s been a vital step in many people’s addiction journey.
