FAQs about Hader at Home

What does a typical day in the Hader at Home program look like?

Each day is structured to support recovery in a way that feels manageable and meaningful. Most clients begin their morning with a check-in on the app, followed by self-paced activities that include journaling, mindfulness, or CBT tools. These daily practices help you stay grounded and maintain awareness of your alcohol or drug use triggers.

Midday and evening sessions are tailored to your needs. Depending on your schedule, you may participate in counselling online or reflect through therapy assignments. Hader at Home creates a rhythm that builds accountability and supports ongoing well-being — even on busy days.

What’s included in the weekly Zoom sessions?

Weekly Zoom sessions are a chance to connect in a group setting with others who understand what it means to struggle. These sessions are therapist-led and designed to help participants share experiences, practise relapse prevention strategies, and learn practical tools like dialectical behaviour therapy.

While one-on-one sessions are deeply personal, group Zoom meetings bring another level of connection. In a safe space, guided by a qualified counsellor, you’ll discuss challenges, build coping skills, and develop a recovery mindset.

Isn't cocaine expensive? How do people afford to get addicted to it?

Compared to other substances, cocaine is an expensive habit. The short, intense high only lasts for between 20 and 30 minutes, and requires constant attention to maintain. This can lead to fast use, which can increase tolerance in a short space of time.

At The Hader Clinic, we understand that one of the main social effects of cocaine addiction is financial detriment. When you're an addict, financial stability takes second place to getting high. Saving money does not light up the pleasure centre of the brain like cocaine does.

Our cocaine rehab programs help address social problems like financial dependence, in tandem with the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual effects of addiction. Using our specialised and proven holistic model of treatment, we help patients come to realise that there are things of value outside of cocaine.

Is the app secure and private?

Yes — the Hader at Home app was built with confidentiality and digital safety in mind. Your information, activity, and video sessions are protected with industry-grade encryption, so your recovery remains private.

We understand how important it is to feel safe when seeking virtual addiction treatment. You can trust that your data will never be shared and that every chat or check-in is secure, confidential, and compliant with Australian healthcare standards.

What kind of support is available outside of sessions?

In addition to your scheduled sessions, Hader at Home provides virtual support tools you can access anytime. This includes a 24/7 emergency support line, journal therapy, mindfulness exercises, and educational content designed to help when symptoms or cravings arise.

Outside of therapy hours, the app continues to offer structure and care. Whether you're affected by alcohol or other drug use or facing a stressful circumstance, you’ll never be without support, day or night.

Can I do the program alongside work or family commitments?

Absolutely. One of Hader at Home's core advantages is its flexibility. You can complete your daily check-ins, attend virtual treatment sessions, and practise mindfulness while working, parenting, or studying.

The program is intentionally designed for convenience, with most participants logging in during mornings, lunch breaks, or after hours. This makes it an appropriate treatment program for those unable to access in-person treatment due to time or location.

Do I need special tech or training to use the app?

No — the Hader at Home app is built for simplicity. If you can download an app and open Zoom, you're ready to go. You’ll receive step-by-step onboarding and support from our admissions team, so you're never left guessing.

You don’t need to be tech-savvy to participate. Whether you're new to online recovery or familiar with digital tools, our platform makes it easy to get started and stay engaged.

Is this program only for people finishing rehab?

Hader at Home is primarily designed as a digital aftercare program for patients who’ve completed residential treatment. However, we also support individuals whose drinking or drug use has become problematic but who cannot access in-person care.

This includes people managing alcohol and other drugs in remote areas, or those with work, health, or family commitments that prevent participation in traditional programs. If you're unsure if it's right for you or a loved one, contact our team — we're happy to have a conversation and help you find the most appropriate next step.
