What’s the most common way people fund their rehab at The Hader Clinic?

Around 60% of people explore self-funding, superannuation or payment plans. Private health cover is also common, especially for programs at our Geelong facility.

What’s the best way to fund my rehab at The Hader Clinic?

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach — your funding solution should reflect your needs, and we’ll help you find the right fit. Many of our long-term clients fund their programs through super or self-payment, and our 90-day program sees an 83% success rate at 12 months.

Which funding types are accepted at each Hader Clinic facility?

We understand that funding can be complex, so it’s helpful to know that different facilities accept different options:

  • Our Geelong Private Hospital accepts private health insurance, superannuation, and self-funding.
  • Our Essendon Residential Rehab accepts superannuation and self-funding only — private health insurance doesn’t apply here.

If you’re unsure where you’re best suited, our team is happy to help you understand your options.

Is a deposit required before starting treatment?

Yes, a deposit of $1,990 is required prior to admission. For emergency admissions, this deposit needs to be paid immediately. Treatment may begin with a short-term detox or a longer residential stay, depending on your needs. The remaining balance is usually due before entry, though your payment structure may vary depending on your funding method. We’ll talk you through everything and support you through the process. Our team can also explain what your drug rehab price will be based on your program length and funding method.

What help is available for emergency admissions?

If you or a loved one needs urgent care, we offer same-day emergency admissions wherever possible. Our team can fast-track the intake process and guide you through payment options to get you the help you need, without unnecessary delays.

Does The Hader Clinic assist with funding applications?

Absolutely. Our dedicated funding support team is here to make the process less stressful. We’ll help you check your private health insurance eligibility, assist with superannuation applications, and walk you through payment plan options. We’re with you every step of the way.

Can I combine multiple funding options?

Yes, you can often combine different funding methods to reduce out-of-pocket costs. For example, some people use superannuation for part of the cost and cover the rest through a payment plan or private health insurance. We’ll help you find the combination that works best for your situation.
